Students working on Voluntary Basis-Waqaf Time

Assalamualaikum wrt. wbt.,
 
Dear all IIUM students,
 
The University is offering students who want to work without payment.  The programme is called "Waqaf Time", 
working on voluntary basis.  You will not be paid.
 
BUT the University will give contributions by calculating the total number of hours you have worked and accumulated 
throughout your study period in IIUM.
 
For example  :-
 
- 500 hours accumulated   : certification by the Director, STADD
- 800 hours accumulated   : certification by the Deputy Rector (Student Affairs)
- 1000 hours accumulated : certification by the Rector
- 1500 hours accumulated : certification by the IIUM President
 
The objectives of the programme are as follows :-
  1. To inculcate within IIUM students the concept of Budi (virtue) for ummatic vision
  2. To inculcate the culture of ‘waqaf’ among our students.  Not only ‘waqaf’ in terms of material but also ‘waqaf’ in terms of time, energy and                   expertise  
  3. To produce IIUM students with holistic or versatile personality

 

Where to register your name to join this programme ?

 

All of you can contribute your voluntary work and register your name in offices in IIUM as follows  :-

 

  1. Student Affairs and Development Division (STADD)
  2. SHAS Mosque
  3. Counseling and Career Services Centre
  4. Entrepreneurship Development Centre
  5. University Centre for Community Engagement (UCCE/BUDI)

The University hopes many students will participate to show that many of our students are willing to work on voluntary basis.
